Dave Tuckman

Dave has worked in the Information Technology and Cybersecurity industry since 1993, serving in a variety of organizational roles (executive, business development, client relations, operations, engineering, sales. etc.). He has additional experience in consulting, community service, public speaking, mentoring, and entrepreneurship (through 2 businesses he built and sold).

Presently Director of Engineering / vCISO at Secure, Smart Office in San Diego, responsible for all Engineering Cybersecurity/IT deliverables and vCISO services.

Certifications include C|CISO, CISM, CISSP, C|EH, CDPSE, Security+, CSX-F, HIPAA Certified Professional, and multiple vendor certifications from Microsoft (AZ-900, MS-900, SC-900), ESET, Invicti (Acunetix, Netsparker) and others.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Current member of ISACA, ISACA San Diego, (ISC)2 San Diego, Comptia, EC-Council, Infragard, and Infragard San Diego. Celebrating 6 years serving on the ISACA San Diego Board, and presently serving as chapter president for the 2022-2023 term.

ENTREPENUERSHIP
Dave was owner and founder of Golden State Web Solutions, Inc (GSWS) for 25 years, providing small businesses and organizations with Security/Compliance, Managed IT, Hosting and Web Development services. GSWS was acquired by Secure, Smart Office in July 2018.

Originally co-founded the Bass Guitar community website: BassBooks.com with Josquin Des Pres. Became sole owner in 2001 and oversaw all operations of sales, marketing, customer service, business development, vendor relationships and ongoing strategy of the company until sold to private party in 2015.
